Buttermilk Biscuits
Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits π§π―π₯
Recipe
- 2.5 cups flour
- 1tsp sea salt
- 2tbsp baking powder
Combine in bowl or food processor and mix
Add
- 1 stick of cold butter cubed
Pulse until mixture becomes coarse
Pour into a bowl make a well in the mixture Add
- 1cup buttermilk
- 2 tbsp honey
Softly mix w spatula all together, do not over mix!
Flour your hands + your surface & shape the dough into a rectangle
Fold the dough over three to four times by bringing the sides together then smoothing it out into a rectangle again etc.
Cut the dough in small circles about 10 inches (I used a measuring cup bc I didnβt have a round cutter)
Top the dough with either extra buttermilk or I used duck fat and it was delishhhh for a more savory meal
Bake 425* for 18-20min

**If you donβt have buttermilk, you can easily make some by adding white vinegar (can also use lemon juice) to some whole milk β the ratio is 1tbsp of vinegar for 1 cup of milk. Let it sit for about 10-12 minutes on your countertop until it starts looking like a buttermilk consistency.
