Food has always been a central part of my life, though I didn’t think much about it growing up in Paris. Fresh, high-quality ingredients were simply the norm—seasonal produce, artisanal cheeses, and traditionally prepared meats were just part of everyday meals. It wasn’t until I moved to Kentucky, while navigating my own health struggles, that I started to understand the deeper impact of food.
At the same time, I began working as a grocery buyer for a local health food store. Suddenly, I was immersed in a world of ingredients, labels, preservatives, and food sourcing. I learned which brands to trust, what additives to avoid, and how the quality of what we eat truly affects our bodies. This fueled with my health struggles sparked a deep passion for food as medicine, leading me to pursue certification as a Holistic Health Coach—mainly to teach myself how to heal.
Through this journey, I discovered that food isn’t just about nourishment; it’s a free and powerful tool for wellness. I loved that I could create meals that weren’t only delicious but also deeply supportive of how I felt. If I needed energy, I could cook for that. If I felt off, I could adjust my meals to restore balance. Healing through food became second nature, and I knew I had to share this knowledge.
In the process, I also realized how many incredible local farms surround us, providing fresh, seasonal bounty to our community every week. Supporting these farmers, eating with the seasons, and embracing local food isn’t just about better ingredients—it’s about connection, sustainability, and honoring the people who nourish us.
That’s what Clara’s Kitchen is all about. As a personal chef, I bring these values to your table, creating vibrant, high-quality meals that celebrate seasonal, local, and organic ingredients. Whether you’re looking for a private dinner, event catering, or meal prep services, my goal is to make nourishing food accessible, enjoyable, and deeply satisfying—because healing should be simple, and food should always bring joy.
